A missing Utah teen, Alisa Petrov, 15, was found safe after walking into a Colorado Springs police station six weeks after vanishing. She was last seen leaving her school in American Fork and reported missing on April 21. Petrov had exchanged explicit messages with 41-year-old Samuel Teancum Mitchell, telling him she was running away.
Three men, including Mitchell, were investigated. Mitchell was arrested and charged with multiple felonies involving sexual exploitation and enticement of a minor. Two others, William Glines and Matthew Menard, are also in custody.
Petrov’s identity was confirmed by Colorado police. Authorities are still investigating how she got there and whether she was held against her will.
