Tragedy in Oklahoma City: Twin Toddlers Drown in Family Pool
A heartbreaking tragedy struck the Callazzo family when 18-month-old twins, Locklyn and Loreli, drowned in their backyard pool. Their great-grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, had unknowingly left the back door open, allowing the toddlers to slip outside.
Their mother, Jenny Callazzo, a stay-at-home mom and boutique owner, found them unconscious in the murky, algae-covered pool. Despite emergency efforts, both were pronounced dead two hours later.
The family lives in a $565,000 home with multiple relatives, including Callazzo’s grandmother. Police say no foul play is suspected and are continuing their investigation.
A GoFundMe page has been launched to help cover funeral and medical expenses, with the message: “These beautiful babies were taken from us too soon.”
Safety experts are urging parents to secure pools with high fences and locked gates, emphasizing how quickly and silently drownings can occur.
