Just hours after announcing a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, President Donald Trump erupted in frustration, claiming, “They don’t know what the f*** they’re doing.”
On June 23, Trump posted on Truth Social that a 12-hour ceasefire was agreed upon and would lead to an official end to the 12-day war. He said, “This is a war that could have gone on for years… but it didn’t, and never will!”
But within hours, Israeli strikes reportedly hit Iranian targets near Tehran, with explosions reported and both Israeli and Iranian media confirming new attacks—effectively breaking the truce.
Trump, who claimed to have helped broker the ceasefire, lashed out. In a Truth Social post, he warned: “Israel. Do not drop those bombs… Bring your pilots home, now!” Minutes later, the attacks occurred.
Speaking before departing for a NATO summit on June 24, Trump vented to reporters: “They violated it, but Israel violated it too… the biggest load [of bombs] we have seen.” He added, “I’m not happy with them… I’ve got to get Israel to calm down now.”
With the ceasefire in ruins and tensions rising, Trump’s anger underscored the fragile state of diplomacy in the region.
