Kai Trump: The Teen Golf Star with a Close Bond to Grandpa Donald
Kai Trump, 17, the eldest granddaughter of Donald Trump and daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, has mostly stayed out of the spotlight—until now.
She shares a sweet bond with her grandfather, sneaking candy and soda behind her parents’ backs and battling him fiercely on the golf course. “He always gives me a run for my money,” Kai says of their competitive matches.
Born in New York in 2007, Kai now lives in Jupiter, Florida, where she excels at golf. She attends The Benjamin School and recently won the ladies’ club championship at Trump’s West Palm Beach course. She’s committed to playing for the University of Miami’s women’s golf team.
Kai made headlines at the 2024 Republican National Convention, where she gave her first public speech, describing Donald Trump as a “loving, caring grandpa” and “just a normal grandpa.” It was a heartfelt moment—especially as it came shortly after the assassination attempt on Trump.
Despite her famous last name, Kai says she prefers to stay grounded and focus on her golf career. Politics, for now, isn’t on her radar.
Their deep connection is obvious—through their shared love of golf, proud moments, and genuine affection, Kai and Donald Trump share a unique grandfather-granddaughter bond.
