Donald Trump shrugged off a bizarre comment from an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, who joked on Iranian TV about targeting Trump with a drone while sunbathing at Mar-a-Lago.
Mohammad-Javad Larijani said, “Trump can no longer sunbathe in Mar-a-Lago,” imagining a micro-drone striking him mid-relaxation. He later added, “Of course, we fight like men,” softening the threat.
In a Fox News interview, Trump downplayed the remark, saying he hasn’t sunbathed in years and called the comment “maybe a threat, maybe not.”
This comes after Trump said he would “absolutely” consider another strike on Iran if intelligence showed concerning nuclear activity, following a June U.S. operation on Iranian nuclear sites. He described both Iran and Israel as “exhausted” and focused more on survival than nuclear weapons.
