Trump Threatens to Revoke Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship
Donald Trump and comedian Rosie O’Donnell have had a long, hostile history. Their feud reignited after Trump’s re-election, prompting O’Donnell to move to Ireland with her nonbinary child, saying they no longer felt safe in the U.S.
“I knew after reading Project 2025 that if Trump got in, it was time to leave,” she told CNN.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump lashed out again, stating he was considering revoking O’Donnell’s citizenship, despite her being born in the U.S. “She is a Threat to Humanity,” he wrote.
Legal experts, including CNN’s Steve Vladeck, called the threat “patently unconstitutional,” noting strict limits on stripping U.S. citizenship.
O’Donnell fired back on Instagram: “Go ahead and try, king Joffrey with a tangerine spray tan. I’m not yours to silence.”
Speaking on Irish radio, she called Trump a “danger to the world” and criticized his treatment of immigrants and misuse of power. “This is not America. This is not democracy,” she said.
