Donald and Melania Trump have been married since 2005 and welcomed their son Barron in 2006. While Donald focused on business, Melania took full responsibility for raising Barron, choosing not to hire a nanny and prioritizing his privacy and upbringing.
Barron grew up in luxury at Trump Tower, but Melania kept their home life grounded. She cooked his meals, helped with homework, and encouraged his creativity—letting him draw on the walls and pursue his interests in science, math, and aviation. She raised him to be bilingual and often spoke Slovenian with him and her parents.
Despite Donald’s distance in parenting, Melania ensured father and son spent time together. Barron later joined Donald on the golf course and now studies at NYU’s Stern School of Business while living at home. Sources say Melania remains highly involved and protective of him.
Donald has five children from three marriages. Though he wanted more with Melania, she was content with one due to their busy lifestyle. Melania emphasized teaching Barron by example—showing him the value of work, independence, and respect. Today, she calls him an “incredible young man,” proud of his strength, kindness, and intelligence.
