A tragic accident has struck Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman’s family. His 13-year-old step-grandson, Anthony, was fatally shot on July 19 in Naples, Florida. Authorities say the shooting occurred around 8 p.m. and involved Anthony’s father, Gregory Zecca—Chapman’s stepson through his wife, Francie. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
The family told TMZ: “We are grieving over this incomprehensible tragic accident and ask for continued prayers.”
Francie, who married Duane in 2021, shares Gregory with her late husband Bob. Their shared grief after losing Bob and Duane’s wife Beth in 2019 brought the couple together. Francie said, “We helped each other stand up… Bob and Beth will always be a part of us.”
Duane, married six times, is the father of 13 children, including a son named Jon he discovered in 2023.
