If you’re like me, you probably have some bad habits you want to change. They might not be extreme, but they’re there—and that’s normal.
Some habits stem from addiction, like smoking or overeating. Others are just routine behaviors, held back by laziness or forgetfulness.
For example, I kept leaving my phone charger plugged in even when not in use. It seemed harmless, but after seeing a post about the risks, I changed.
Chargers draw a small amount of power even when idle, wasting electricity. Plus, leaving them plugged in can wear out components and, in rare cases, cause overheating or fire hazards—especially if exposed to water or if kids and pets tamper with them.
While modern chargers are generally safe, unplugging when not in use is a simple way to avoid these issues.
