Over the past few months, fans have noticed Kelly Clarkson’s significant weight loss and speculated about how she achieved it. Until recently, she remained private—but now she’s opening up.
On a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, with Whoopi Goldberg as a guest, Clarkson shared that she had help with her weight loss journey through medication. She revealed her doctor prescribed it after finding abnormalities in her bloodwork.
“Mine is different than people assume,” she said, clarifying it’s not Ozempic but a drug that helps process sugar, something her body struggles with. She admitted her doctor had encouraged her for two years before she finally agreed.
Previously, Clarkson attributed her transformation to a more active lifestyle in New York and a protein-rich diet. While that played a role, she now admits medication was also a factor.
She also shared that a concert video showing her at 203 pounds served as a wake-up call.
Clarkson joins other celebrities like Oprah, Rebel Wilson, and Heather Gay in candidly discussing the use of weight loss medications.
