Manhunt Ongoing for Father Accused of Killing Daughters
The search continues for Travis Decker, wanted for the murder of his three daughters—Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5)—whose bodies were found on June 2 at Rock Island Campground in Washington.
The girls, reported missing on May 30 after a court-ordered visit with Decker, died from asphyxiation. DNA evidence links Decker, a former Army soldier, to the scene. He faces charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping.
The FBI has taken over the investigation and is leading a renewed search of the rugged terrain near the campground. Nearly 100 personnel are involved, seeking clues and closure for the victims’ family and community.
Investigators revealed two girls had two plastic bags over their heads, and one had three, with cable ties nearby. Decker’s DNA was found on the bags and ties.
Sheriff Mike Morrison acknowledged the difficulty of the ongoing three-month investigation and urged the public to remain vigilant.
