Richard Gere, 74, became a father again in 2019 and 2020, when he and his wife Alejandra Silva, 39, welcomed two sons. While these are their first children together, both have kids from previous relationships.
Gere has a 22-year-old son, Homer James Jigme, with ex-wife Carey Lowell. Homer, born in 2000, was named after his grandfathers and given the Tibetan name Jigme, reflecting Gere’s dedication to Tibet.
During Gere’s earlier marriage to Cindy Crawford (1991–1995), the couple drew heavy media attention. Crawford later said their 17-year age gap made the relationship difficult.
After that, Gere married Carey Lowell, and they had Homer. Their 2003 split led to a high-profile custody battle, as Lowell claimed she had given up her career for their family.
Homer has largely stayed out of the spotlight but has occasionally appeared at public events with his father, including film festivals. He currently lives in New York and is said to share both charm and looks with his famous dad.
