Some people can be wary of animals that don’t look the way they expect. Ace the cat had a rough start, living on the streets as a kitten before being rescued and adopted. Sadly, an infection caused him to lose an eye.
His unique appearance can scare some children, so his owner, Norma Maikovich, installed a security camera to keep an eye on him while he lounged in the driveway.
One day, the camera captured something heartwarming: a young boy who visited Ace daily, sitting with him, petting, and playing. Despite Ace’s appearance, the boy was never afraid.
“It melted our hearts,” Norma told The Dodo. “Ace runs to greet him. It’s awesome, this bond they share.”
Now, the boy is welcome anytime. “A friend of Ace’s is a friend of ours,” Norma said.
