Nathaniel “Nate” Pelletier, known for his recurring role as the taxi driver on Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart, has died at 53.
According to his obituary, Nate “passed away suddenly” on April 11 at his home in Langley, British Columbia. He is remembered as a kind father, loyal friend, and beloved member of the When Calls the Heart family.
Born on October 15, 1971, in Toronto, Nate was known for his generosity, strong work ethic, and charisma. In addition to working in the show’s transportation department, he occasionally appeared on screen and was affectionately called “N8” by cast and crew.
His greatest joy was his daughter, Myhrsades (Murray) Jones, whom he supported with love and shared many adventures. Outside of work, Nate enjoyed cooking, writing poetry, and welcoming friends into his home.
Actor Martin Cummins paid tribute on Instagram, writing:
“The Valley will not be the same without Nathaniel Pelletier. He was a gentle soul and it was my honor to call him friend.”
