Health concerns grows for Dolly Parton as sister requests prayers

A Wave of Concern for Dolly Parton
Fans across the country are rallying in prayer for Dolly Parton as she faces ongoing health issues at age 79. Her sister, Freida Parton, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, saying she was up all night praying for Dolly, who “hasn’t been feeling her best lately.”

The post follows Dolly’s recent postponement of her Las Vegas residency due to medical concerns. In an Instagram update, Dolly said doctors advised her to undergo several procedures but assured fans, “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business — God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”

Last month, she revealed a kidney stone had caused an infection, forcing her to miss a Dollywood event. Despite these health setbacks, Dolly has remained active — launching a musical, a children’s book, and a fashion collaboration.

Adding to a difficult year, Dolly’s husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, passed away in March at age 82. Through it all, Dolly continues to lean on her faith. “I truly believe that I’m going to see him again someday,” she shared.

Freida remains hopeful: “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers, I know she’ll be just fine.”
