I was managing the wedding of Catherine, a 38-year-old heiress, when I spotted the groom – Arnold – and my heart stopped. It was John, my ex, the man who had disappeared six months earlier, taking all our savings.
I’m Amanda, 28, a private event planner. Catherine had spared no expense for her wedding, and despite never meeting her fiancé, I had helped her plan everything. John had vanished with all my money after convincing me to sign a power of attorney for our wedding expenses. I was left heartbroken and in debt.
When Arnold arrived at the wedding, I realized he was the same man who had left me. He now went by Arnold, and as he mingled confidently, I decided to expose him. I confronted him in front of everyone, revealing his past deception. He denied it, but the police arrived, siding with him.
I left, determined to stop him from scamming Catherine. I hatched a plan to pose as her long-lost grandmother, Linda, and expose Arnold once again. After transforming into an elderly woman, I attended the wedding and presented a fake diamond, hoping to catch him in the act. When Arnold tried to steal it, I stopped him, and he was arrested.
