Harrison Ford Slams Donald Trump Over Climate Policies
Harrison Ford, longtime vice-chair of Conservation International, has devoted decades to environmental causes. The Indiana Jones and Star Wars actor, an outspoken advocate for conservation, has criticized President Donald Trump’s stance on climate change.
Ford, who has spoken at the UN Climate Action Summit and supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, even worked with the anti-Trump Lincoln Project to produce election ads.
In an interview with The Guardian, Ford said Trump “doesn’t have any policies; he has whims. It scares the s**t out of me,” calling him “an instrument of the status quo… making money while the world goes to hell.”
Receiving a Conservation Leadership Award in Chicago, Ford said scientists’ warnings about climate change have come true, blaming “the entrenched status quo” for inaction. Meanwhile, Trump has dismissed climate concerns as “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.”
