Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation countersuit against Blake Lively has formally come to an end by the intervening of a judge.
US District Court Judge Lewis Liman signed a new court order, stating how Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios co-plaintiffs failed to file another amended complaint after the court dismissed the case back in June.
The judge also said he would contact all parties to warn them that he would be entering a final judgment to conclude that case.
As per the document reviewed by PEOPLE, Lively was the only one to reply, asking the judge to clear the final judgment. But for her request for legal fees to remain active, which was given a green signal by the judge. For now, the court has yet to respond to comments by the press for more information.
Baldoni’s setback is the newest twist in the It Ends with US legal saga that started in December when Lively sued him for misconduct on the set and a retaliatory smear campaign, claims that he denied. Her original lawsuit is currently ongoing.
Baldoni’s countersuit was tossed by the judge on June 9, as well as his $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times.
