Russell Crowe Shuts Down Engagement Rumors
Russell Crowe is setting the record straight about his love life and future plans with girlfriend Britney Theriot.
The Gladiator star, 61, has been dating Theriot, 33, since 2020. Engagement rumors began after she was spotted wearing a large ring at Wimbledon this summer, but Crowe told 60 Minutes Australia that marriage isn’t on the cards.
“All these reports saying we’re engaged — no,” he said. “We’re very good friends, we have a wonderful relationship. My life is happy right now — why would I ruin that with a wedding?”
Reflecting on his previous marriage to Danielle Spencer (2003–2018), with whom he shares two sons, Crowe added, “I’ve been married once. I don’t need to go back there.”
When asked about romance, he simply replied, “I’m very happy, mate. Doing it once is cool, but I don’t want to get married again.”
Professionally, Crowe hinted at slowing down his career, saying he’s in a reflective phase but still has upcoming projects, including The Last Druid, Highlander, and Nuremberg, which releases this week.
