Bruce Willis’ Health Declines Amid Rare Public Outing
Bruce Willis was seen on a rare outing with his caregiver as his dementia battle reportedly “takes a turn for the worse.” The 70-year-old Die Hard star, diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, appeared holding hands with his caretaker while taking in ocean views.
A family insider said Willis is “going downhill fast.” Since his diagnosis, he has largely stayed out of the spotlight.
His wife, Emma Heming Willis, recently shared how their daughters are coping. “They grieve and miss their dad so much. He’s missing milestones, and that’s tough,” she said, though she added the family is “learning” through it.
Emma also revealed she moved Bruce into a separate home with 24-hour care — a “heartbreaking but right” decision that allowed her to “be his wife again” and gave him more independence.
On Maria Menounos’ HealSquad podcast, Emma said a neurologist warned her that 30% of caregivers die before their patients due to stress and neglecting their own health. “I needed that wake-up call,” she said. “Caregivers must care for themselves — it’s not selfish, it’s self-preserving.”
