People are losing it over Donald Trump’s reaction to Melania’s speech

Posted on November 15, 2025 By admin

President Donald Trump, joined by First Lady Melania Trump, signed an executive order on Thursday aimed at modernizing America’s foster care system and supporting the roughly 400,000 children in foster care. Melania also launched her “Fostering the Future” initiative, part of her “Be Best” campaign offering scholarships to current and former foster youth.

Trump said he was “delighted” to sign the initiative and praised Second Lady Usha Vance’s involvement. Melania urged leaders and organizations to join the effort, calling the order “empathetic and strategic” and predicting it would spark a nationwide movement.

However, attention soon shifted to Trump’s behavior during Melania’s speech. Some social media users claimed he looked as if he were struggling to keep his eyes open, joking about “sleepy Donald.” Others focused on his unusual “one-armed clapping” when applauding Melania, sparking speculation and jokes online, though some defended him, saying it looked normal.

After the applause, Trump kissed Melania and said the country was “truly blessed” to have her as First Lady, joking that audiences often say they want to hear from her instead of him.
