The viral photo of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt tackling her other big job isn’t being taken too well on social media.
Many people felt that just before Mother’s Day, Leavitt chose to intentionally stage a photo op to show the world how hard she works for the country and her own family.
The image had her feeding her nine-month-old child named Niko while she typed at her desk.
The image was captured by Margo Martin, who is a special assistant to the president and communications advisor. They posted on social media the official image through the White House account.
Many were impressed at how seamlessly she does the balancing act of personal and professional, but others felt she was getting credit for being a public figure when millions of other women do the same but never get appreciated, as that’s what they are supposed to do.
The rare glimpse of the press secretary at work when she is not at the podium fielding questions from reporters has people taking notice.
But the fact that it was timed so well and the setting looked like it was staged had people wondering what her real intentions of carrying out this shoot were to begin with.
