Just months before announcing his split from Christine Baumgartner, 51, Costner praised his wife of nearly 20 years and the “power of love.” But in May 2023, Baumgartner filed for divorce, launching a bitter custody and financial battle that ended in February 2024. Costner was ordered to pay $63,209 per month in child support, a major drop from the $248,000 she originally sought. The couple now shares joint legal and physical custody of their three children.
Calling the split “a crushing moment,” Costner said he had to stay strong for his kids. Now, insiders claim the 69-year-old is happier and dating again. Costner and Gores, 46, have been spotted together in Aspen, and sources say their romance is “exactly what he needs” after a dark period.
Described as “chill” and sharing his love for the outdoors, Gores has reportedly fallen for Costner’s charm, and the relationship is said to be “hot and heavy,” though others insist it’s still casual and early.
