45 people were killed in a horrifying crash in Saudi Arabia, with the sole survivor now in the intensive care unit at a local hospital.
The tragedy arose near Medina in Saudi Arabia with nearly 46 Indian pilgrims on board, most of whom hailed from Hyderabad. This is located in the southern Telangana state.

Speaking during a recent press conference, India shared how one man did end up surviving the tragedy and he was rushed to an intensive care unit at a local hospital. The pilgrims were reportedly traveling from the holy city of Makkah to Medina when this crash took place, the government shared in their public statement.
They had gone to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, which is a shorter version of Hajj and considered to be a sacred pilgrimage in the lifetime of a Muslim. Local media outlets revealed how an oil tanker was involved in the incident, but no more details were shared on this front.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his solidarity on this matter and said he was deeply saddened by the news of this accident in a post shared through X.
He added that Indian authorities are now in close contact with officials from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the post, he revealed: ‘Our Embassy in Riyadh and Consulate in Jeddah are providing all kinds of assistance possible!’
