The remains of a seven-year-old girl from Canada who was swept away by the sea during an extreme case of flash flooding in California have finally been retrieved.
The news comes just two days after her loving dad passed away while trying to save her.

A diver found the young girl’s remains shortly after 1 pm on Sunday, nearly 1000 yards offshore and a half mile north of her last known location in the waters at the Garrapata State Beach in Carmel.
The female whose name was not shared with the public was first thought to be five years old. But the authorities received more exact data from her relatives after initial reports regarding her were shared.

She was found by a volunteer named Juan Heredia, who runs a non-profit organization and works as a recovery diving instructor for Angels Recovery Dive Team that helps with recovering sons or daughters, as per Facebook.
‘I found this child, she is going back home today, thank you God!’- he shared in the heartbreaking post.
