If you happen to be a fan of window seats while flying to your destination, then you might want to read on further.
In reply to a class-action lawsuit filed against Delta Airlines and United Airlines, which was filed by passengers who claimed to have paid extra to sit in window seats but were surprised to be put next to an empty wall. United Airlines has requested a judge to dismiss it, sparking fury amongst passengers.

The airline continues to argue that a window seat means a seat next to a wall and not necessarily a seat with a view.
‘The use of the word window in reference to a certain seat cannot reasonably be interpreted as a promise that this seat would have exterior views of the window’- the lawyers of the airline mentioned in a motion to dismiss the case on November 10.
‘Rather, the term window identifies the position of the seat, which is next to the wall of the main body of the plane,’- it continued.

The lawyers also mentioned how the plane’s contract of carriage does not explicitly guarantee that the window seat would have an exterior view next to it.
One plaintiff in the case against United mentioned how she went on to pay a massive $170 for the window seat. After boarding, she was shocked to see just a view of the cabin wall, making her upset.
