A few weeks ago, photos of Donald Trump appearing to “sleep” in his Oval Office chair went viral, leading many to believe he had nodded off. The moment came during a November 6 press conference about lowering prices for a weight-loss drug, shortly before a man fainted at the event. Similar images of Trump looking drowsy had circulated before, including during a May ceremony in Saudi Arabia.
With questions growing, Trump has now addressed his sleep habits. During a November 18 press conference with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, he was asked about his time management after saying the prince “doesn’t sleep much.”
Trump responded that neither of them sleep much, adding that they keep similar schedules and often talk at unusual hours. He claimed President Biden “sleeps all the time” and insisted, “I’m not a sleeper.” Trump concluded that when you love your job and country, “you don’t want to sleep.”
