Kevin Spacey has opened up about his life since 2018, when he was first accused of sexual assault.
Once one of Hollywood’s most respected actors—with major roles in American Beauty, The Usual Suspects, Se7en, and Netflix’s House of Cards—his career halted after more than 30 allegations surfaced. Spacey has denied all accusations.
In 2023, four charges were brought to a UK court, but he was ultimately acquitted. Since then, he has had no new acting work, lost his Maryland home, and has been living in hotels and Airbnbs. He described the last seven years as financially draining, saying he now goes “where the work is” and owns no permanent home.
Reflecting on the fallout, Spacey said he has spent time examining past mistakes and wishes he had spoken out sooner.
Once earning $500,000 per episode on House of Cards, he now rarely receives offers. He recently attempted a stage comeback in Cyprus with a one-night performance at the Parklane Luxury Resort.
Despite the setbacks, Spacey hopes for a Hollywood return, saying a call from directors like Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino could change everything.
