She was seen joining Donald Trump, hand in hand, to welcome and host Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for an ornate dinner in the East Room on Tuesday night.
The first lady joined her husband at the White House as he announced that Saudi Arabia would be elevated to the major non-NATO ally status and that a strategic defense compact was signed between the two countries.
That distinction has only been given to 20 nations, as well as Taiwan.
He also lauded how the Crown Prince was willing to invest $1 trillion in America. Despite the weather in the country turning very cold, Mrs. Trump remained very poised, holding hands with the President and the Crown Prince as his black car arrived with him inside.
The 55-year-old First Lady’s choice of attire cost $3350 and was a coated emerald jersey strapless gown from Elie Saab. It seemed like a subtle show of support for the Crown Prince. Other distinguished guests included billionaire Elon Musk and superstar soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.
