A baby suffered from a dangerous heart attack and ended up losing half of his tongue after mistakenly drinking household drain cleaner, which he mistook for milk.
Sam Anwar Alshameri is only 18 months old and managed to get hold of the toxic substance while his mother was busy cleaning the apartment at their family residence in Birmingham.

The toddler suffered from extreme burns to his airways, mouth, lips, and tongue, and therefore, was rushed to the hospital emergency department, where a team of 27 doctors and nurses fought to save his life.
He then spent two months in intensive care and has been left unable to eat, drink, or speak, while his lips have almost entirely sealed shut due to his burns.

As per the father of four, Sam now needs to undergo a complex surgery. The warehouse worker mentioned how his wife was cleaning the toilet while his four kids were inside the living room playing.
Sam wandered behind her and picked up the bottle that was on the ground, and drank it, leading to the disaster. Sources shared that by the time the mother noticed, it was too late, and he had already consumed quite a bit.
