King Charles and Prince Harry’s relationship collapsed after Harry released his memoir Spare. In it, he attacked Queen Camilla, calling her a “wicked stepmother,” accusing her of leaking stories, and claiming she was “dangerous.” He and William had even asked their father not to marry her.
Harry also wrote about struggling to accept Camilla, wondering if she’d be like the “cruel” stepmothers in stories. He added that she turned his old bedroom into a dressing room after he moved out.
Charles saw Harry’s comments about Camilla as crossing a “red line.” Palace insiders said he was furious and quickly decided to evict Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage. According to reports, Charles viewed the attacks as “the ultimate act of disrespect.”
Royal expert Omid Scobie wrote that Charles was “spitting mad,” and the father–son relationship hit an “all-time low.” Friends of Harry and Meghan said the couple were “stunned” by the eviction, calling it “cruel punishment” and feeling the family wanted to cut them out for good.
