Terrifying and tragic reports speak about a starving baby who was reportedly left for hours under damp and cold conditions, including wet bedsheets, at an understaffed hospital.
Sources shared with the inquest how the carelessness from the nurses ultimately led to the child’s death who was just weeks old.

The victim was identified as Lakshith Guptha Nalla, who was malnourished and also dehydrated before his death at the University Hospital of Wales. Now, his heartbroken parents are demanding justice after claiming their lives have changed forever due to this.
A series of medical failures is said to have led to the child’s death during the early hours of the day. Amongst those included were constant and gross understaffing. This also meant that the child was not getting the proper care and attention that he deserved, and therefore, he developed an infection due to lying on cold and wet bedding.

The baby was described as being vulnerable and entirely dependent upon the NICU at the time. The nurse who was responsible for the child had also disconnected his feeding tube in order to allow him to cuddle with his parents, despite knowing the dangers of doing so. Since there was a shortage of spare feeding tubes, the child was left without food for more than 90 minutes.
