On December 12, House Democrats released new photos from the files of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, calling them âdisturbing.â The images are part of nearly 100,000 photos obtained by the House Oversight Committee and show Epstein socializing with powerful figures, including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, Woody Allen, Richard Branson, and Steve Bannon.
Nineteen photos were released initially, followed by about 70 more. Some images show Trump with Epstein and several women whose faces are blurred. The photos do not show illegal activity but raise questions about Epsteinâs elite connections.
Rep. Robert Garcia said the release highlights the need for transparency and justice for Epsteinâs victims, urging the Department of Justice to release all remaining files. The White House dismissed the release as politically motivated and said there is no evidence of wrongdoing by Trump.
Congress has passed legislation requiring full disclosure of all federal Epstein records, with more documents expected to be released, including materials related to Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
