Dick Van Dyke, the beloved actor famous for his role in Mary Poppins, was recently forced to evacuate his Malibu home as severe wildfires advanced toward his property. At the impressive age of 99, Van Dyke found himself in a terrifying situation as the flames quickly closed in on his residence in California’s Serra Retreat.
During a heartfelt interview with Today, Van Dyke vividly recalled the experience. “It was coming over the hill. You [could] see it,” he described, recalling the frightening sight of the fire as it made its way toward his home.
