John Cena, 48, has been married twice and does not have children by choice. The WWE legend and actor, now married to Shay Shariatzadeh since 2020, has been open about why he doesn’t plan to become a parent.
Speaking on Club Shay Shay, Cena said he simply doesn’t want kids, explaining that his driven and often work-focused lifestyle wouldn’t allow him to give a child the time and commitment they deserve. He added that he and his wife share the same values and have discussed the decision openly.
Cena also pushed back against judging people who choose not to have children, saying he feels fulfilled and happy with his life. Reaffirming his stance recently, he said bringing a child into the world without being fully present would be an “irresponsible choice,” as his career continues to demand much of his time.
