During a Secret Santa celebration, a shy boy named Bobby arrived with only a letter instead of a gift. His classmate Sally mocked him cruelly, calling him poor and refusing his handmade present. Hurt and embarrassed, Bobby returned to his seat in tears.
After class, their teacher, Mrs. Torres, found Bobby’s letter and read it. In it, Bobby explained he had saved money for Sally’s gift but used it to help his seriously ill mother instead. He even drew her a reindeer because he knew she loved them. Moved to tears, Mrs. Torres asked Sally to read the letter.
Realizing the truth — and remembering that she had lost her own mother as a baby — Sally broke down. She felt deep regret for her behavior and promised to apologize. The next day, she did, and the two children became friends.
Later, Sally’s father visited Bobby’s family with gifts and money to help pay for Bobby’s mother’s heart surgery. Thanks to that kindness, Bobby’s mother recovered, and both families grew close.
