Amy Schumer has filed for divorce from her husband, Chris Fischer, after nearly seven years of marriage.
The actress and comedian filed documents recently to end their union on Tuesday in New York County. However, the reason for the divorce is yet to be disclosed publicly.
Meanwhile, a rep for the star didn’t respond to comments from the press either. She did joke about how she and Chris made the tough decision to put an end to their marriage after spending nearly 7 years together.
‘We love one another so much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this moment in time!’- he added.
The star also shared a post that has now been deleted, where she put a picture of herself and Fischer on a subway and added: ‘Blah Blah Blah not because I dropped some pounds and thought I could bag a basket and not because he’s a hot Janlmes Beard award-winning chef that can pull off some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever.”
