Real life mean girl? Amanda Seyfried caught mocking stars and grimacing over loss as she emerges as Golden Globes’ sorest runner-up

Posted on January 13, 2026 By admin

While there were plenty of stars that stood out at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, some made the headlines for more reasons than one.

Amongst those include Amanda Seyfried, who slowly turned into the talk of the town, not because she won, but because her reaction to losing in two major categories was called out as embarrassing and disrespectful by audience members.

The star was nominated for Best Actress in a musical or comedy for her role in The Testament of Ann Lee and also as Best Actress in a Limited Series for A Long Bright River.

Despite all of the strong rumors that she would be a clear winner in those categories, she lost and didn’t take home any award for either of those nominations.

After the first loss was announced, she was caught on camera making the most visible grimace, which was a short, unguarded facial expression that quickly turned into applause as she composed herself and rose to congratulate the winner.

Soon after that, cameras saw her clapping in a premature manner before the next winner’s name was shared. This sparked serious laughter and comments from viewers who happened to be watching live.
