Emily thought she was about to have her dream wedding until her fiancé, Jake, canceled everything behind her back. He proudly showed off his new luxury sports car instead, something she wasn’t even allowed to drive.
The courthouse wedding was a quiet, simple affair, not the grand celebration she had imagined. “Three more months,” Emily told Jake, “It’ll be perfect.”
But then, Jake dropped a bombshell. “I canceled everything—the venue, the catering, the dress,” he said. “Weddings are a waste of money.”
When Emily asked where the money went, he showed her the car, claiming it was a better investment. She was stunned, but things got worse when Emily found out Jake had bought the car to impress his ex, Vanessa.
Heartbroken but calm, Emily played along for a few days before getting her revenge. She pretended to be upset about the wedding and suggested she sign up for Formula 1 racing school. Jake panicked, trying to stop her, and suggested they sell the car. Emily agreed, and the car was sold.
A week later, Emily filed for divorce, took half of the car’s sale, and left. She sent one final message to Vanessa: “Guess he still can’t afford to keep nice things, huh?” Then, she drove off in her own car, free from Jake.
