The 28-year-old ICE Deputy Director of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, has announced her resignation to the public.
Madison Sheahan chose to take a step back from the leading position in the agency to roll out her campaign for the US House of Representatives. She’s now seeking nomination from the Republican party in Ohio’s 9th Congressional District, which is a seat long held by Democratic Representative Marcy Kaptur but was recently witnessed as politically competitive.

Her decision comes as part of a bigger push by conservative candidates to flip seats in the upcoming midterm elections.
During her campaign message, she shared herself as a Trump conservative who would be protecting the jobs of Americans, their values, and border security if and when elected to this leading position.
