2.. Parasitic Infections: Causes, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Prevention

Posted on February 14, 2025 By admin

Parasitic infections occur when organisms like worms or protozoa invade the body, leading to health issues such as malnutrition and organ damage. They spread through contaminated food, water, skin contact, or insect bites. Early detection and treatment are crucial.

Common causes include poor hygiene, undercooked food, contaminated water, and travel to high-risk areas. Symptoms may include skin irritation, digestive issues, fatigue, and weight loss. Untreated infections can lead to severe complications.

Diagnosis involves stool samples, blood tests, and imaging scans. Treatment includes medications, hydration, and sometimes hospitalization. Prevention includes good hygiene, cooking food thoroughly, and avoiding insect bites.

To prevent infections, wash hands, drink clean water, wear protective clothing in high-risk areas, and deworm regularly. Early treatment and these precautions help reduce infection risks.
