A Washington State University medical professor has claimed that President Donald Trump suffered a stroke last year and concealed it from the public. Professor Bruce Davidson says there are visible signs supporting his belief, including changes in Trump’s gait, speech, coordination, and frequent daytime sleepiness—symptoms he says are consistent with a left-side brain stroke that may have occurred more than six months ago.
Davidson cited videos showing Trump shuffling his feet, holding his right hand with his left, garbling words earlier in 2025, and using his left hand for support despite being right-handed. He also pointed to reports of Trump falling asleep during public events and bruising on his right hand as possible indicators. Davidson acknowledged that, if true, Trump appears to have made a significant recovery.
Speculation about Trump’s health has increased due to public appearances showing bruises, rambling social media posts, and online claims of facial drooping during a 9/11 event. However, no official diagnosis has ever been confirmed.
The White House strongly denied the claims, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stating that Trump remains in excellent health, calling the allegations “fake narratives” and criticizing the media for spreading misinformation.
