My Husband Demanded I Pay All Our Bills Because He Was ‘Saving up for Our Future’

Posted on February 17, 2025 By admin

It started with a strange dinner request from my husband, Jake. He wanted me to cover all the bills—rent, utilities, everything. At first, I thought he was joking, but he explained it was so he could save for our future while I took care of the daily expenses. I was shocked but agreed to think about it.

Days later, I got a call from a woman named Anna—Jake’s girlfriend. She claimed Jake was only with me for financial support and was using me to fund his future with her. I didn’t know if she was lying, but something felt off. I decided to investigate.

That evening, I pretended to agree with Jake’s plan. Meanwhile, I moved all our savings into my account, canceled the lease, and stopped paying the bills. The next morning, I calmly told Jake I had downsized to a one-bedroom apartment and transferred the savings. He was furious, but I walked out, leaving him with his mess.

Two weeks later, I was enjoying my quiet new life while Jake was struggling, couch-surfing. Apparently, Anna dumped him when she found out the money was gone. A friend texted me saying Jake was blaming me for ruining his life. I couldn’t help but laugh. My life was finally mine again.
