Posted on February 2, 2026 By admin

Born in 1934, Bill Bixby was a beloved actor and TV director whose career spanned over three decades. Best known as David Banner in The Incredible Hulk (1978–1982), he also starred in My Favorite Martian, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, and The Magician.

Off-screen, Bixby faced personal tragedies, including the death of his six-year-old son and his first wife’s suicide. He married twice more, and in 1993, shortly after marrying Judith Kliban, he died from prostate cancer at 59.

Bixby earned Emmy nominations, directed shows like Blossom and Sledge Hammer!, and left a legacy of iconic performances and dedication to both acting and directing. His work remains available on streaming platforms.
