For the 2026 Super Bowl, Turning Point USA announced its own alternative to the official halftime show featuring Bad Bunny. The event was promoted as a conservative-friendly cultural counterprogram.
Turning Point USA was founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk, who led the organization until his death in 2025. Afterward, his widow Erika Kirk became CEO and chair.
The “All-American Halftime Show” lineup was headlined by Kid Rock, known for hits like “All Summer Long” and “Bawitdaba.” Other performers included country-rock star Brantley Gilbert, country-pop singer Gabby Barrett, and GRAMMY-nominated artist Lee Brice.
During the event, Brice paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, saying he had given people a voice. He then performed a song about feeling out of place as a conservative in modern America, touching on themes of traditional values and cultural change.
The alternative show was framed as a patriotic response to the NFL’s mainstream halftime performance and aimed to appeal to conservative viewers across the country.
