At the impressive age of 99, Van Dyke found himself in a terrifying situation as the flames quickly closed in on his residence in California’s Serra Retreat.
During a heartfelt interview with Today, Van Dyke vividly recalled the experience. “It was coming over the hill. You [could] see it,” he described, recalling the frightening sight of the fire as it made its way toward his home.
