Husband Makes Pregnant Wife Work 40+ Hours & Manage All House Chores — Family Finds Out on Thanksgiving Day

Posted on November 27, 2024 By admin

Thanksgiving was supposed to be about family, love, and gratitude, but for my brother-in-law Peter, it turned into a day of reckoning.

I’ve never liked Peter. His charm felt fake, and I always suspected something was off. When I stayed at my sister Lily’s house for a few weeks, I saw the truth: Peter was a poor husband. Lily, who earned more than him, did everything—cooking, cleaning, and caring for their four kids while Peter lounged and played video games.

Lily, emotionally scarred by our parents’ divorce, sacrificed everything for her family, yet Peter gave nothing in return. After staying with them for a while, I knew I had to do something.

Thanksgiving came, and while Lily bustled around, Peter played the role of perfect husband. I had enough. During dinner, I called him out, accusing him of lying about his contributions. The truth hit hard—Lily was doing everything while Peter took credit.

Lily didn’t speak up, but later thanked me. The next day, Peter lashed out, but I knew the truth was out. A few days later, Lily called to tell me Peter’s mom had moved in to help, and was making him do the chores. It felt like a small victory.

For the first time in years, Lily sounded hopeful. And though Peter still had a long way to go, I knew he wouldn’t be getting away with his act anymore.
