We often think that courage is measured by the size of our body or the strength we have… but it isn’t. Courage comes from love, from a heart that chooses to stay when everything seems lost.
A small boy, only ten years old, had lost everything. His house had caught fire one night, and he was left alone with a torn doll in his hand, walking under the cold night rain, with no one to keep him warm. Every step was heavy, every breath a struggle. He thought the world had forgotten him.
But an elderly man, returning from his usual work, saw him. He stopped, gave a warm look, and sat beside the boy. No big words, just open hands and a hug that said: “You are not alone. I am here.” He said, “When you feel lost, when you think no one loves you, remember: someone will always stand for you.”
That night, the boy cried for the first time since the fire. He cried for his losses, for his fear, but also for that elusive feeling of safety that came from a warm hand. He didn’t understand it immediately, but a small act—a hug, a simple word—changed his whole life.
Today, he is happy. But he will never forget the night when the world seemed dark, and a stranger showed him that love and kindness are more powerful than any loss. 🌧️🖤
