Rex Culpepper, former Syracuse quarterback and son of Survivor stars Brad and Monica Culpepper, has died at 28 from a dirt bike accident in Florida, confirmed by the Tampa Bay Times and Syracuse football.
Rex played 30 games for Syracuse between 2017 and 2020 and overcame testicular cancer in 2018, returning to the field that fall and earning the Jim DaRin Courage Award. The team said he “lived life with endless passion, playing football as fierce as he lived life.”
He recently got engaged to his fiancée, Savanna Morgan, who shared heartfelt memories of their six years together, saying, “We lived every single day like it was our last… I don’t regret a single day.”
Rex’s father, Brad, was an NFL defensive tackle and Survivor contestant, while his mother, Monica, also competed on Survivor.
