As I watched the footage, fear and confusion set in. Every night, Evan would enter Emma’s room, gently calm her, and whisper to her. She would suddenly twitch and move as if in a trance, then settle back to sleep after he spoke to her.
Worried, I began observing him and researching possible causes, from sleep disorders to stranger explanations, but nothing fit. Though he seemed normal during the day, something felt off at night.
Finally, I confronted him. To my surprise, he explained he had seen similar night terrors in his younger sister, and his presence helped calm her—just like with Emma.
Realizing he wasn’t hiding anything, we decided to seek professional help. In the end, we understood that facing the unknown together was what truly mattered.
